Office visits: Dr Chien practices in two convenient locations in the Chicago area. His appointment times are typically 30-60 minutes depending on the complexity of issues.
Acute Care
He can advise you over the phone and if necessary, arrange to see you as soon as possible, often same or next day in his office.
Chronic Disease
He can help manage some of the common chronic conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, heart disease, and many others.
Wellness Examinations
He recommends an annual preventive care wellness visit to discover potential problems and discuss how to manage them. These yearly visits are recommended to discuss your diet, exercise, cancer screening, and overall well being. Routine labs such as the lipid profile, thyroid test, blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, and urinalysis are included during this visit. You will be offered your annual flu shot, electrocardiogram, and pulmonary function testing if needed. Any additional labs outside this panel such as vitamin panels, celiac disease screening, and hormone testing will be billed by the laboratory to your insurance company.
In-Office Procedures
He can perform many common diagnostic and therapeutic procedures right in the office such as cortisone injections, IV Hydration therapy, pulmonary function testing, strep testing, and many more.
Hospital Care
Coordination
In the event that you need hospital care, he will be available to communicate with your hospital based physician and help you understand your results and treatment plan. He is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, so he can supervise your care if you are admitted here.
