Meet Dr. Chien

Dr Mark Chien is a board certified internal medicine physician who has been practicing in Chicago since 2006. He has a reputation for being attentive, caring, and personable.

He enjoys the practice of medicine and providing individualized care to his patients. He finds the lifelong relationships with his patients highly rewarding. He enjoys having a positive impact on people's lives, helping people using his medical knowledge and expertise.

With the switch to a concierge practice, there is more time to focus on his patients. His practice continues to emphasize communication and partnership with his patients. Spending quality time and asking the right questions often leads to the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. He is accessible for same day or next day appointments if medically necessary, as well as for extended appointments to discuss preventative care and disease management.

He remains an independent physician on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and has long standing ties with many of the specialists here. He is available to help coordinate care with your specialists here and at other institutions. He is a clinical instructor at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and is actively involved in medical education.

He is a graduate from the University of Chicago with a bachelor of arts degree in biologic sciences. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in Internal Medicine.
